Mid-West Textile is seeking an experienced and driven Purchasing Supervisor to lead procurement operations in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. This role is critical to ensuring the timely sourcing of raw materials, consumables, and services that keep our operations running efficiently.
We are looking for a hands-on leader with strong negotiation skills, supplier management experience, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy environment while driving cost savings and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily purchasing and procurement operations
- Review and approve purchase orders and requisitions
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with suppliers
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while evaluating supplier performance
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations
- Partner closely with warehouse, production, logistics, and accounting teams
- Track shipments and resolve delivery, invoicing, and quality issues
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through purchasing analysis and supplier negotiations
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, reports, and procurement KPIs
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
- Train, support, and supervise purchasing team members
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and continuous process improvements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environments
- ERP/MRP systems experience and advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- CPSM, CPP, or related certifications
- Manufacturing or textile industry experience
- Inventory control and forecasting knowledge
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Work Environment
This position operates in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment and includes both office and operational floor responsibilities. Occasional extended hours may be required based on production needs.
