Mid-West Textile is seeking an experienced and driven Purchasing Supervisor to lead procurement operations in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. This role is critical to ensuring the timely sourcing of raw materials, consumables, and services that keep our operations running efficiently.

We are looking for a hands-on leader with strong negotiation skills, supplier management experience, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy environment while driving cost savings and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily purchasing and procurement operations
  • Review and approve purchase orders and requisitions
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with suppliers
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while evaluating supplier performance
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations
  • Partner closely with warehouse, production, logistics, and accounting teams
  • Track shipments and resolve delivery, invoicing, and quality issues
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through purchasing analysis and supplier negotiations
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, reports, and procurement KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
  • Train, support, and supervise purchasing team members
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and continuous process improvements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environments
  • ERP/MRP systems experience and advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
  • CPSM, CPP, or related certifications
  • Manufacturing or textile industry experience
  • Inventory control and forecasting knowledge
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Work Environment
