Material Handler

EL PASO, TX

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented team member to support the movement, organization, and tracking of materials throughout our facility. This role plays an important part in keeping operations running smoothly by ensuring that products, supplies, and components are received, stored, delivered, and prepared accurately and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, or other documentation.
  • Move materials, products, and supplies to designated locations using appropriate equipment and safe lifting techniques.
  • Pick, stage, label, and prepare items for production, shipping, or internal distribution.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
  • Organize stock areas to support efficient access, storage, and workplace safety.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, and restocking as needed.
  • Operate material-handling equipment in accordance with training, policies, and safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to support workflow.
  • Follow all company procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or a similar environment is helpful.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills may be required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with inventory systems, scanners, or warehouse management software.
  • Forklift or material-handling equipment certification, if applicable.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

This position may require standing, walking, lifting, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods. Work may take place in warehouse, production, or distribution settings, with exposure to varying temperatures and routine physical activity.
